Both consultations end with a written summary and clear next steps. If you go on to a full design, your fee comes off the design fee. All prices include VAT.
Virtual consultation
For gardens that are simpler to read on camera, or if you're further afield.

Two figures, one studio. Roughly the size of your plot decides your band.
How design fees usually work
Across the industry, design fees are usually worked out as a percentage of the build cost. The percentage falls as the project grows, because much of the design thinking is needed whatever the size of the garden.
Our fees follow the same sliding scale. On a £54,600 build, our £6,960 design fee works out at around 12.7%.

During the build
Stewardship while your garden takes shape
Once construction starts, someone needs to be keeping the build on-spec and on track. Stewardship puts us on your side through it, whether that's us checking the site in person or reviewing progress from a distance.
Remote Build Stewardship
For projects where a capable local contractor or project manager already has the site covered.

When billing starts
Stewardship billing begins at construction start, not at design handover.
Minimum commitment
Three months. Mobilisation takes up the first, handover takes up the last. Anything shorter doesn't give us room to do the job properly.
Pausing
Only when the build is genuinely inactive, and only with advance notice.
Designed it with AI? Bring it.
An AI image shows what you want your garden to feel like. It can't show the fall of the land, where the water goes or what it will really cost to build. Upload it when you book and we'll tell you what it takes to make it real.
Questions
Before you book
Do I have to go on to a full design?
No. Plenty of people use the consultation on its own, then build it themselves or take it to a landscaper. The summary is yours to keep.
What if I book virtual and then want a site visit?
Your £350 comes off the site visit, so you only pay the difference.
What if I go on to a full design?
Your consultation fee comes off the design fee if you go ahead within 60 days.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. Cancel or reschedule up to 48 hours before for a full refund. Within 48 hours the fee is non-refundable, but you can move your booking once.
Are the figures on this page quotes?
No. Band figures are Standard spec with no extra site or wish-list complexity, the lowest point each band can start from. Sloped or restricted sites, a bigger wish list and Premium or Ultra Premium finishes all move the number up. Your consultation is where we get to a real range.
